Trivia

  • This controller is themed around Super Smash Bros. for Wii U.
  • The 3 meters cable returns, this time with a black rubber sheath.
  • The mold for the shell was changed for the production of this controller, it is slightly bigger and of a slightly different shape, but is still compatible with older shells.
  • This controller was released bundled with Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and a GameCube controller adapter in the US.
  • The Australian version of the standalone box actually looks the same as the EU version, but it specifies on the back of the box that it was distributed by Nintendo Australia.
