For those who have seen HamarFan’s original article, you may have noticed that every Club Nintendo controllers had their original price listed in the description… except for the Club Nintendo WaveBird. This information seemingly got lost, no news articles were written about it in any language, and Nintendo nuked their Club Nintendo website (see previous blog post), so no way to search for the original promotion either.
Even the “GameCube Anthology” book just skipped mentioning it entirely.
Well I found it. It was hidden in a Japanese Wikipedia page (Third from the bottom of the first table). 900 points to trade for that bird – that’s about 18 registered games.
