There were 23 standard first party wired GameCube controllers released by Nintendo, with a few extras. From September 14th 2001 with the classic Indigo to November 16th 2018 with the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate edition. The controller went through a major redesign by 2003, greatly improving its quality.
